Throughout this building lobby, minimalistic design meets quiet sophistication that offers a refined yet inviting space to welcome visitors. The main feature of this serene space is the exquisite, white glazed ceramic tiles, handcrafted to mimic split bamboo stalks in varying sizes. The effect is a transcending blend of familiarity and magic, akin to entering an enchanting natural sanctuary. The commercial project completed in the city of Nagoya, in central Japan, uses a blend of the Large Stem, Small Stem, and a custom Stem (measuring 4 x 15-1/2” wide) to heighten this sense of natural bamboo grove.

Inspired by Kyoto’s serene bamboo groves, the Bamboo Forest collection blends timeless Japanese aesthetics with modern design. Bamboo, a symbol of strength and harmony, has long graced traditional gardens and homes—now reimagined in tile form.

Handcrafted in Japan, and emulating the gentle concave curve of split bamboo, this complex shape reflects the precision and patience of Japanese ceramic craftmanship. Stocked in two sizes—small and large stem—these tiles bring organic elegance to interiors, reflecting light beautifully to create shifting patterns of shadow and illumination throughout the day.

This restaurant wall connects its indoor patrons to nature with the Shangri-La pattern from our Tommy Bahama® Kapa concrete tile collection. The embossed relief pattern evokes the feeling of fern fronds in a tranquil paradise. It’s got a subtle, luxe texture that might just spark daydreams of an island vacation. It was created in the same spirit as our Tommy Bahama® glass collection — the brand invites you to a place without deadlines or demands, to enjoy simple pleasures, and to live spontaneously - all while breathing freely and relaxing in style.

Reinterpreting Tommy Bahama's most iconic textile prints, Kapa architectural concrete tiles are inspired by elements of the exotic: sumptuous tropical fabrics, lush palm fronds, and waves lapping along a quiet shoreline. The embossed relief surfaces spark vacation daydreams and sanguine memories. Handcrafted in California, the dimensional surfaces add subtle, luxe texture to walls and coordinate with Tommy Bahama and Lunada Bay Tile glass collections.

This relaxing and inviting office space features ½ x ½” hand-crafted glass mosaics in hues of blues, black, white, and greys around the reception desk. The Normandie Deco pattern takes its cue from the opulent Art Deco furnishings found in the famous 1930s French luxury ocean liner. Seen here in our Blue Stone colorway.
